Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that works with patients to identify and maximise their ability to move and function. The Royal Charter gives physiotherapy a broad scope to practice that includes manipulation, manual therapy, exercise and movement, electrotherapy and other physical approaches.
Our Physiotherapists combine their knowledge, skills and experience to treat a broad range of physical problems associated with the musculoskeletal (soft tissues, bones and joints), neuromuscular (nervous system), cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.
On the first visit to Kingsmead a Physiotherapist will undertake an assessment from which a professional physiotherapy diagnosis will be made. The patient’s goals will be identified and an appropriate treatment plan put in place.
